Terms and Conditions

I only cover the areas of Ynysybwl, Coed Y Cwm and Glyncoch.

At the moment I am available for walks between 9am and 3pm and only during school term time. I will always make sure clients are kept informed about school term dates and inset days so that other arrangements can be made. Sometimes I am able to do walks during school holidays and will keep clients informed. I will consider walks on the weekend if I am able to.

I'm happy to collect and return your dog(s) to an empty house as long as you are confident your dog(s) will react positively to me letting myself in. If you choose this option, I will store the key to your home safely at all times. When it is in my home it will be kept in a locked security box.

Walks must be booked in advance, at least the week before. If your dog has the same walks on the same days of the week, every week, then there is no need to book. I will assume you require these same walks every week unless you tell me otherwise. Bookings can be made by text, Whatsapp message or phone on 07931 179 987, or by facebook messenger on the Sits & Wiggles facebook page, or by email to rebecca@sitsandwigglesynysybwl.com. If you usually book ad hoc walks as and when you need them, these continue to be first come first served so it’s important to book as early as possible. Any cancellations must be made with more than 24 hours notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will still need to be paid for.

Every Friday I will send out invoices from QuickBooks for the walks your dog has received that week. These must be paid by the following Monday. Please pay by bank transfer and include your dog’s name as a reference.

If I need to cancel a walk (which I will always do my best not to do, but I have small children) I will always refund the walk (or reschedule it if that suits you better).

I will not cancel because it is cold or raining. I walk in almost all weather! If you prefer your dog not to go out in the rain, it's up to you to check the forecast and cancel 24 hours beforehand.

If the weather is dangerous to dogs (or me!), I will cancel and refund or reschedule. This includes extreme heat, thunderstorms and slippery ice. If it is possible for me to do so, we can arrange for me to pop in and check on your dog while you're out instead.

Dogs will get wet and muddy. Every walk is an adventure and we don't avoid the puddles! Please leave a towel just inside the entrance to your house so I can leave your dog as dry as I can!

I will ask for permission to use photographs of your dog on my social media site and my website. If you consent, I will share without including any information about your dog or about you. I won't even include your dog's name. This is because of the increase in dog theft.

If you would like me to, I can send you pictures of your dog(s) enjoying the walk using Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger.

All dogs should be up to date with vaccinations and flea and worm preventative/treatment, and should be wearing a tag with your phone number on it for all walks. A tag with a postcode and telephone number is a legal requirement for any dog out in public.

You must inform me IMMEDIATELY if your dog shows signs of having contracted kennel cough, and also take your dog to the vet. Kennel cough is extremely contagious and spreads through surfaces as well as contact, meaning that I pose a risk to other dogs if I walk a dog with kennel cough. Dogs cannot return to Sits & Wiggles until two weeks after they are clear of the cough.
